Innovation and Key Technologies in E-mobility Infrastructure and Energy Data Analytics (Workshop on EIEDA)

Dec.7th, 2019 | Singapore

The workshop will discuss engineering technologies, business opportunities and market developments in the intersection of decentralisation, electrification of transportation and the digitalisation areas.

Background

There are three areas of technological developments that are impacting the electricity grids today in a profound way. They are mostly disrupting technologies as follows:

  • Decentralization
  • Electrification of the transportation and the heating sector
  • Digitalization
  • Digitalization of the electricity distribution grid remains a significant challenge but also the key step forward for the evolution of intelligent grids and infrastructure in general.

    Workshop description

The workshop will discuss engineering technologies, business opportunities and market developments in the intersection of decentralisation, electrification of transportation and the digitalisation areas. The electricity grid infrastructure needs to be optimised not just with respect to the design and functionality but also with respect to its operation and allocation of resources in the light of developments mentioned

     Method of instruction

The workshop will be conducted in an interactive way and through activities within teams, the delegates will be asked to contribute and actively participate in the analysis and synthesis of the technologies to be covered. Key market concepts of technology development and innovation, especially of the disruptive type, will be taught in context and will be embedded in the material of the workshop.
